Bromberg & Liebowitz, CPA is truly a family business, run by four brothers and started by their father, Frank Bromberg, in 1974.

Robert Bromberg, CPA

Robert Bromberg, CPARobert Bromberg, CPA, is Managing Partner at Bromberg & Liebowitz CPAs in Farmingdale, NY. Robert enjoys helping small and mid-sized business owners maximize their profits and limit their tax liability. He’s more gregarious than your typical CPA and likes to meet new people and learn about their businesses, lives, and culture.

Some of the projects he’s recently completed for clients include a 3-year audit where no liability was found, a credit line increase for a client, and a change in mortgage terms for a client who saved tens of thousands of dollars.

The firm provides business consulting and advisory services, tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, payroll tax compliance, sales tax compliance, audit support, and loan package development for small and mid-sized corporations, partnerships, LLCs, LLPs, and individuals. Robert is also good at helping his busy clients learn how to prioritize and put things into perspective.

Robert has a colorful background; prior to joining his father’s firm in 1993, he worked as an editor and photographer for Relix magazine. He currently plays in a local band, Wiggum, with his brother Jamie and is a member of the Patchogue Lions Club.

Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics and Fine Arts at State University of New York College at Oneonta and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography at Pratt Institute. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and listening to live music, skiing, scuba diving, travelling, and spending time with his family.

Steve Bromberg

Steve Bromberg is Managing Partner of Bromberg & Liebowtiz, CPA. Steve enjoys finding legally creative ways for his clients to save money on their taxes. He also is very interested in making sure his clients build a solid retirement plan.

Some of the projects Steve has recently completed for his clients include amending a corporate return for a new client to include tax credits the previous accountant failed to take, completing an estate tax audit which resulted in no change in tax liability, and working with a client on their retirement plan.

Steve enjoys helping clients with their individual tax returns, corporate tax returns, estate tax returns, partnership tax returns, federal and state tax audits, and other tax needs. In his spare time, he enjoys teaching SCUBA, playing guitar, and boating.

Jamie Bromberg

Jamie Bromberg is Office Manager of Bromberg & Liebowitz. He enjoys taking care of many clients’ books, payroll, and taxes while also taking care of the accounting, office, and administrative duties for the firm.

Some of the more recent projects Jamie has been working on include QuickBooks bookkeeping for a number of clients’ businesses, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, and sales tax. He is adept at finding ways to reduce expenses in the firm.

Of the four brothers, Jamie has been with the firm the longest, since 1992. He knows most of the clients in the firm and he is likely the one you’ll speak to first when calling the firm.

When Jamie is not working, he plays bass in the band Wiggum with his brother Bob. He loves sports and his favorite teams include the New York Rangers, New York Yankees, and the Dallas Cowboys. He is married with two boys who are fun to play with and hang out.

Mike Bromberg

Mike enjoys working with startup companies and watching them grow, from home office to hiring employees with an office lease. He likes to help new entrepreneurs learn the basics of accounting and financial information and enjoys helping new employers through the maze of payroll setup, workers compensation, payroll taxes and reporting, and hiring paperwork.

Some of the more recent projects that Mike has worked on include handling New York State sales tax audits which went fine, helping a client get minority status for their business, assisting clients with mergers to cut overhead and increase profitability, setting up pension plans for businesses, and reviewing insurance policies to better manage corporate risk.

Mike works with small business owners in a variety of industries, including construction, services, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, restaurant, nonprofit, and many more.

Mike attended State University of New York College at Oneonta. He is a member of the Sons of Italy and the Cerebral Palsy Club.
When Mike is not working, he is an avid sports player of ice hockey, roller hockey, and golf. He also enjoys SCUBA diving, bike riding, and jogging. He has three children aged four through nine, coaches travel soccer, and watched Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
